Like many breeders, we have a limited amount of space for horses on our farm in order to ensure that all of our horses get the proper time and attention they need and deserve.  This means that we will at times offer up members of our herd to new homes.  Our horses are like family to us, and we are always very particular about where they end up.  For that reason we will always be very up front about the strengths and weaknesses of each animal, so that we can find them the perfect match they deserve.  This purposeful rehoming ensures that everyone is happy, and allows us to keep in touch and see how they are growing and being loved by their new families.

FFG Benedictus

Born May 2, 2024.  Ben is out of our mare SD Fortune Teller, sired by Faugh-a-ballagh.  He is a gorgeous palomino tobiano/sabino with colour in all the right places.  As this photo shows, Ben has a lovely refined head, quality, silky feather and very balanced proportions.  He will easily make 14.2 like his parents and he has personal unicorn written all over him.  He stands for the farrier, understands how to be shown in hand and is fearless.  He adores his people.  His biggest fault is that he is still very mouthy.  He definitely takes after his dam with his laid back personality, but his build and conformation scream athelete like his sire who is currently competing USDF Level Three.

As much as we love Baby Ben, he is not what we are looking for in a herd sire and he is slated for gelding this fall.  You know what they say, a good stallion makes a great gelding and we are confident Ben is the type of horse to make someone's dreams come true.  If you are looking for your own personal unicorn then Ben might just be the end of your rainbow.

Ben is priced at $12,000 CND on a gelding contract.  TGCA & GVHS Registered.

Willowsway Ray of Sunshine

lauzonlooks-6561.jpg

Born May 8, 2023.  Ray is out of Meadow Farm UK Lightening Strikes Twice, sired by Hermits Sundancer.  He is a gorgeously thick palomino .  As this photo shows, Ray has the sweetest of souls.  He loves to spend time with people and he has a genuine desire to please.  I would say that he has the tendency to quietly worry, so he will need a rider who understands when he is concerned and takes steps to mitigate it before it builds up.  Ray has been turned out with friends, forage and freedom his entire life, but he will at times crib on his haynet and his friends if they are wearing blankets.  For this reason we believe that Ray would ultimately be much happier as a gelding.  We strongly believe that a stallion prospect should have a balanced mind as well as outstanding conformation.  It is my belief that Ray would be best suited to a Western/Trail or driving home.  His overall build and conformation lends itself to pulling vs driving from his hind end.  Ray will be gelded here in the fall, but if you are looking for a sweet kind, gorgeous boy to take you on trail rides and carry you safely around the show ring this is the boy for you and we will happily take payments until then.   Ray is built like a tank and currently stands 13.3.

Ray is very reasonably priced at $13,000 CND.  He stands for the farrier, has had his wolf teeth removed and is up to date on all shots.  We will continue his training until he finds his new home, including introducing him to a bit, and ground driving. He has been off property to several shows and trailers beautifully.  TGCA & GVHS registered.

RLR Norma Jean

DSC_3454(1).jpg

Born March 23, 2022.  Norma Jean is out of SD Treasure, sired by SD Lionheart.  This homozygous, tobiano mare screams look at me.  Norma Jean was lightly started this spring and is as easy to work with as she is to look at.  She went to her first off property dressage show with less than 60 days under saddle and scored in the mid 60's with several scores of 7 in her introductory test.  Riding Norma Jean reminds me very much of how it feels to ride my level two dressage pony, Monster.  She is extremely well balanced in all of her gaits with a natural tendency to drive from her hind end.

Norma Jean has also demonstrated her versatility and boldness in trail, both in hand and under saddle. She had absolutely no trouble with tarps, bridges or the dreaded gate, but took them all in stride.  The brain on this girl is exceptional and she will make an amazing partner for her new owner.  The only reason we are offering Norma Jean for sale is that we have decided to retain two fillies from our breeding program and we simply don't have room for everyone.  It will be a sad day for us and our herd when she finds her new soulmate.

Norma Jean was recently bred to our upcoming stallion prospect Willowsway Too Spooky.  We will know soon if she is being offered as a :"two for the price of one" opportunity.

Like all of our herd, Norma Jean is PSSM1 and FIS free.  She is TGCA & GVHS registered and offered for the very reasonable price of $25,000 USD.
